Danniel was born in Mvurwi, in 1987. He made a personal commitment to Christ when he was 17 and shortly afterwards responded to the Lord’s call to full time ministry. After completing high school he attended Domboshawa House Theological College where he gained a Diploma in Pastoral Ministry & a B.A. in Theology & Religious Studies. He married Bridget in December 2014 and in November 2015 they were blessed with a son, Isaiah Munesu.
Danniel’s ‘life verse’ is Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His temple’, and his vision and passion is to raise a generation of people that is rooted in the presence of God.
Danniel & Bridget live and minister at Montgomery Heights Christian Care Centre, a home for orphan and destitute children in rural Zimbabwe. One of a team of 3 resident leaders, helping to oversee and pastor a staff of 22 who care for approximately 60 children from birth through to their early twenties, he and Bridget play an active, hands-on part in nurturing the children of the home.
Danniel is also the assistant pastor of Voice of Triumph Community Church which meets at the children’s home and has a congregation of approximately 150. His specific responsibility is for the development of the youth work and outreach into the very poor rural community in the area surrounding the children’s home. The orphanage and ministry are totally dependent on donations.
