Pastor James was born in Zambia during 1964. He is the 5th born of a family of 9 children. All his brothers and sisters are serving the Lord and 5 have been called into full time ministry and are pastoring churches. James got married to Patricia in 1996 (soon after she had completed her studies in theology and had obtained her diploma). They have two children, a boy called Chileleko (meaning blessings) and a daughter named Lukondo meaning joy.
Pastor James completed his senior certificate and went into the field of agriculture where he became a manager on a farm. He resigned from the farming environment in 1997 to fulfil his calling to serve the Lord and His people. In Livingstone he also completed a diploma in theology at the local bible college.
Pastor James came to know the Lord in 1983 after listening to a young lady give her testimony of what the Lord had done for her. Her testimony convicted him and he then surrended his life to God and has been serving him ever since.
In 1997 he heeded the call to and he left the city for his home village where he began to minister the Word to his rural community. During 2001 James knew that he had successfully completed his calling to the people of his village and his learning curve to the ministry and returned to Livingstone to pioneer a work to which he had been called.
James founded and pastors a church under the banner of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Maramba Branch in Livingstone. The congregation totals some 75 people and is situated in a low cost area where the unemployment situation is very poor. They meet for service in the local primary school and are trusting for a plot on which they can build their church.
The main vision of James and his wife is to preach the Gospel to the whosoever. This is especially directed however to the poorer communities and to the unemployed.
Pastor James’ vision is simple and is wrapped up in Matthew 28 and Acts 1 v 8
