Kennedy Mayuka is the pastor of Tower of Hope Christian Church in Isoka, Northern Zambia. He grew up in a Catholic family and at 12 joined the Altar Boys Club, but heard the gospel for the first time in 2000 on National TV Broadcaster (ZNBC). Dr. Daniel Pule was preaching on the consequences of sin. He outlined things which I was involved in and the penalty of those things. He also emphasized the love of God on humankind and on how God gave his son to die for humanity. From that very Sunday morning I decided to repent. I gave my life to Jesus Christ for the first time in my life. After accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, my heart was happy and I felt that peace of mind. Gradually I stopped drinking and humanizing. During my free time I read the Bible and continued discovering many other things that contributed positively to changes in my life. I also continued following the man of God’s preaching which helped me to drop some friends. Finally I told my father that I was moving away from the Roman Catholic Church and he finally let me go. I searched for a Bible believing church and in 2002 I received water baptism. In the year 2007 the Lord called me to go and train in world missions. In 2009 I graduated with a diploma in World Missions and Church Planting. After graduation the Lord sent me to Isoka in Muchinga Province to plant a church. The work has been progressing well though challenges are unexceptional. We thank the Lord for granting us a piece of land to put up a church building and we are busy collecting building materials.
