Nelson was involved in acts of sorcery before coming to Christ in 2000. He gave his life to Christ after a team of missionaries came to share the word with in the Anglican Church that he went to. After sometime, he felt that he was not being fed spiritually the way he ought to have and so moved to one of the Pentecostal churches in the area by the name of Kisozi Deliverance church under the leadership of Pastor Grace Mwase.
While at deliverance church, he joined the prayer and intercession team where he served for one year and then actively participated in the door to door evangelism as well as the praying for people. In 2004, he was consecrated as a deacon in this church and as given the responsibility of overseeing all the home cell groups in the church. In 2006, he actively participated in the opening up of two churches originating from the cell groups that had been formed. In the same year, he went for studies with the international school of ministry where he graduated with a diploma in counselling, discipleship and evangelism and later was ordained as a pastor.
In 2008, we went on a mission to Busige village and among all the souls that came to Christ were 15 people who were involved in activities of sorcery. This was because they had seen Nelson who had been a former sorcerer praising the name of the Lord. A church was established in this very place and Nelson was requested to stay in this place to pastor this church where he has been pastor to date.
