Patrick Basoga has served the Lord faithfully amidst great persecution from the predominantly animistic tradition. His resilience has been paramount in ensuring the prevalence of biblical truth in the Namalere Village.
“I opened up a church in Namalere in 1987 after the persecution which arose at Kamira sub-county where we were praying from. At first the church was one but when the community leaders realised the increasing number of believers, they stopped us from using the sub – county hall. Some of our friends decided to go some where which was 4km ahead and the distance from the old place to the new place is 9km making it too difficult for us to continue because of the distance. So we decided to begin a church with 9 people in some one’s house.
Years of experience: I have been in ministry for 19years. I first began a church in Namalere in 1987”.
