Profile: Thompson Daka is married to Mirriam and they have 3 children.
Testimony: I was privileged to have been born in a Christian family but only received Christ as my Lord & Saviour at a Reinhard Bonke crusade in Lusaka 1981. After I had a near death experience, I came to realize God’s call. I had died and found myself standing in front of a counter. There was a huge man with the head of an Ox, who said to me, “Ah, Thompson Daka, you have come!” He then began to check for my name in a huge book. When he found it, he said, “There is an assignment written beside your Name. You cannot come here now, but must go back to earth and do the works given to you.” I began to refuse & complain that there is so much evil people out there. This living being spoke a language I could not hear, and called an Angel to take me back. In a short time the angel came & picked me up to the other side of a stream below with Blood in it flowing from the East going to the West. The moment he dropped me on the ground, I woke up in my body. In 1984 I went to Bible School for training & graduated in 1987. I have since then served the Lord in many far flung towns establishing churches were there were none, and strengthening those that were weak.
At present I am the pastor of the Apostolic Faith Mission church in Livingstone, which has an average weekly attendance of between 25-32 members. Being a new church, we face challenges in managing the monthly classroom & house rentals as well as allowance to support the pastor’s family.
Our mission is to train the Church in Intercession, Discipleship, & Deliverance work while engaging in door to door Evangelism and follow up work which helps tackle personal issues of individuals. We pray that the Lord will bring like-minded people to stand with us as partners and prayer warriors
