Thulani was born in Sezela, a village on the South Coast in Umzinto. He is 57 years of age and is married to Wages. The Lord has blessed them with four children, two girls and two boys, tho one of the boys has since passed away. Thulani grew up in a Christian environment, and on the 31st of May 1977, in an overnight revival meeting, he encountered Jesus. This encounter altered the course of his life forever. Thulani and his wife farm maize, sweet potatoes and pumpkins on a small scale, to increase their income, by selling the surplus, and are thus able to feed the family. His house is surrounded by sugar cane fields as there is a sugar mill nearby that has created a market for the local farmers.
He planted the church in Umzinto in 1986, This main church currently has a membership of 120, and they have planted 3 Sister churches in the different Villages around Umzinto, which Thulani oversees and is responsible for, serving as an “Aaron” in the Amazion Team, under the leadership of Bishop Mthethwa. These churches all have ministries for the children, youth, women and men. They have built a 100 seater rondavel church which is filled to capacity on a Sunday.
Thulani is humble and gentle and has dedicated himself to serve his community.
His vision is to preach the Word of God around the villages of the South Coast.
