2018 November News

Dear Live Connection Partners,
So many ‘Highs’ and ‘Lows’ this month it is always good to remember God’s many promises and that He is Good all the time, no matter what we face or what we have to walk through.
I am sure you will remember our excitement of just a few months ago, as we rejoiced with the amazing news that David Livingstone, our Ugandan Regional Leader, had introduced Live Connection into Nigeria appointing Magnus Chukwu as the new Regional Leader. Very sadly, while ministering far from home in rural Nigeria, Magnus was taken ill with a rare form of anaemia and even though he was hospitalized, he passed away a day later. He leaves a wife and 2 young daughters who have been absolutely devastated by the news. The resolution we as the Team of Live Connection have made, as the bearers of the vision, is to deposit a love offering of +$1,000 into the family’s account. This will by no means take away their pain, but will be a tangible expression that they are upheld in prayer and that we are standing with them in their grief. We could only imagine the bewilderment if that happened to us. In all this grief we know that Magnus is with the Lord and that he is realising the hope of the inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade; but it doesn’t take away the pain of their loss. So far $680 has been received. If you would like to participate, please deposit your contribution into the Live Connection account – BSB 012298 Number 529667067 and put ‘Magnus’ as the Reference – or let me know and I can deduct it from your credit card.
David and the Ugandan team suffered another blow when, despite having guards on duty, most of the 2000 chickens were stolen from the new poultry project in a very well organised ‘hit’. They are now in the process of increasing security with the construction of a brick security wall and other measures before restocking. Praise God, finances for this have already been sourced.
Please remember Paul, Mal & Glenyce as they travel to Indonesia next week, 3rd to 8th December, looking to expand the role of Live Connection in that country. Indonesia has a very high Muslim population, especially in the region where they will visit. They will be visiting Pelita Dunia Theological Seminary in Tangerang on the Western side of Jakarta which is a base for training pastors, missionaries and students. Paul will participate in the leadership training of these students sharing the vision of Live Connection. Along with the training, a visit to a Leprosy community in the area and the local slums in also planned.
As you can see, this is another amazing opportunity to explore what God has in store for Live Connection.
Once again – Thank you to all of you for your faithful contributions and support.
And to finish, a testimony and praise point from me. This month our visa for Permanent Residence finally arrived – exactly 10 years to the day since we arrived in Australia! We give praise to Our Father and a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to all who supported us through the long process.
“The Lord Bless you and Keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you And give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 NKJ
Blessings
