2019 July Newsletter

Dear Live Connection Partners
As I write it is a cold damp day at the end of the warmest and driest July for a long time… however, with this rain comes refreshment that our land desperately needs. It’s also a reminder of just how much our souls need refreshing.
The Mission Team is now well and truly settled back home after a hectic three weeks travelling in Zambia, Uganda and Kenya (with an excursion into South Africa by Paul and Mal). We have been encouraged to hear of new ‘Live Connections’ being made with pastors in northern Uganda and Kenya as well as the rich, refreshing times of Leadership Training undertaken in both Zambia and Uganda.
Be encouraged that the money so generously given for building projects is valued and wisely used. Pastor Emmanuel Banda from Livingstone, Zambia was the recipient of some of the building funds and has reported they have almost completed the construction of the church where he ministers. They are in the process of roofing it now.
What a huge difference this construction has made to the local area! Its tangible evidence of the love and provision of our mighty Father.
Talking of the benefits of refreshment, John and Anne Ferrar are going on 4 months long service leave from 14 August and will not be returning until Monday 4 January 2020. We pray this time will be a time of refreshment for them as they spend time with family, enjoy God’s amazing creation as well as settle their permanent relocation from Zimbabwe to Australia.
Anne will leave a HUGE hole in the Live Connection Office but Glenyce will be handling things in her absence. Should you have any queries at all, please still use Anne’s email or you can contact Glenyce on glenyce@liveconnection.org. But a reminder if you are tempted to contact Anne via whatsapp…she’ll be on holidays and won’t be available.
Each one of you is an encouragement to the Live Connection team. Because of you, we do what we do…because of you, Pastors in rural subsistent areas are enabled to share the great news of Jesus Christ…because of you, lives are being changed and people have hope!
Isaiah 40:28-31 New International Version (NIV)
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run
and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Blessings
Glenyce & Anne
