Dear Friends and Supporters of Live Connection
Thank you for your continued support for your pastor(s) and the work of Live Connection. Never has it been more needed than now.
The past couple of months we have shared testimonies from Pastors – Today there is a heart wrenching report from Bishop Kevin Obiwumma, the Regional Leader in Nigeria. We read on a daily basis of the persecution of Christians around the world, and even though Nigeria doesn’t often make the headlines, the Christians there are in the front line with fresh reports of massacres coming through all the time.
In Nigeria time: Good evening members of live connection group. In fact Christians in Nigeria are facing a lot of problems and persecution from the hands of so called fulani herdsmen and bandits, few days ago many Christians were killed in one of the states called Jos plateau- state. We are planning to pay visit to the displaced ones in deference camps. I so much appreciate the support that live connection members are giving to the ministers of God in many countries especially my region Nigeria. In a serious note we need to run to the aids of our Christian brothers and sisters who had no shelter nor better food to eat. We need good support to carry out this urgent need of the people of God. Our government had failed us, we are just looking up to God almighty. For example watch this video. Pastor Kelvin Obiwumma.
I simply could not watch it.
Never do the words of Jesus in Matthew seem harder
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you…..5:44.. “Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 10:28 …
On a happier note, I also received this heart warming Testimony from one of our long time, senior partners:
Testimony
A few years ago I decided to treat myself & get FOXTEL as Christmas was approaching & there wasn’t much on TV.
A ‘still small voice’ challenged…. ‘That would support a pastor overseas.’ I knew of ‘Live Connection’s’ work but hadn’t considered being involved. I needed to be obedient to God’s prompting.
I have been so blessed to get to know an amazing Pastor and his family in Zimbabwe. Patrick sends letters, photos and prayer requests updating me of the wonderful work he is doing; planting churches, training leaders, travelling great distances to spread God’s word with so few resources – AND he and the churches pray for me.
What a privilege to be involved in a small way in such a vital ministry! WOULD FOXTEL HAVE GIVEN ME SUCH A BLESSING? LESSON We must be obedient to God’s promptings. He will do His miracles through us IF we hear and obey. He showed His Glory in the past and He hasn’t changed. We need to. Lottie D.
Thank you Lottie! I’m always excited when your letters come through!
Reminder – Christmas will soon be here. The next transfer will go at the beginning of November. If anyone would like to send an extra blessing to their pastor(s), please can you let me have it asap –or at the latest, by the end of October. Please do not feel obligated in any way as this is purely optional.
Be fervent in prayer … Keep praying! Love and Blessings
