2022 January Newsletter

Dear Live Connection Partners,

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) ~

We trust that you have all settled into this New Year and are continuing to Praise and Serve the Lord. For many, it has already been a mixed bag of trials and hardships, while for others, a blessed new beginning!

Philippines Natural Disaster Relief

Our Pastors in the Philippines reported how grateful they are for the blessings they received from our partners. Your generosity raised more than $5,000 in emergency financial relief and we keep receiving letters of thanks with photos of the ongoing food and water distribution. Here are some highlights:

“Hello Sister Anne and Brother Paul, Happy New Year!

On behalf of North Road Church of Christ, Liloan, Cebu, we are very thankful for the LIVE CONNECTION program for being the channel of blessing to all of us, especially to the affected individual of the typhoon Odette.

Our church distributed water to 30 families and 10 families for 10 kilos of rice that are totally affected by the typhoon. There are still lots of churches and houses that are need to be rebuild but we know that GOD WILL PROVIDE.  I also send to you the receipts and some photos.

Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROUSITY.

God bless us all.”

Malawi Natural Disaster Relief

Hardly time to take a breath and our phones are now flooded with news of more natural disasters – this time floods in Malawi. Sadly, some have lost their lives and once again, there is devastation and hunger everywhere; crops have also been destroyed. Please do pray for them, as many have lost absolutely everything. If you feel led by the Spirit to help our brothers and sisters there, then

We know that any donations would be gratefully received and put to good use.

Partnership Questions

We are very grateful for your generosity towards our 2021 Spring Appeal, which raised nearly $10,000 in support of our global operations.

Our pastors are seen as leaders within their communities and many people look to them to provide for their needs. This often extends to taking on the care and responsibility of widows and orphans in the community.

Do you know how your monthly partnership funds are allocated? You can find answers to this and other frequently asked questions on our website, please click here to read more.

According to our Treasurer, if your monthly partnership is $70, then it is distributed as follows:

  • 72% ($50) goes directly to your local pastor,
  • 14% ($10) goes towards training, that is, $7 for the local pastors and $3 for the regional / global pastors, and
  • 14% ($10) funds the administration of transferring the money into the hands of the pastors.

Your financial partnership is not a wage, but it supports the basic needs of the pastor and his family to enable them to continue serving their local communities.

Our Prayer For You

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ~ Numbers 6:24-26 (NKJV) ~

Blessings,

The Live Connection Team
