GOOD NEWS!

What an eventful month this has been, as we welcomed our first Canadian based partner and added 3 more pastors, taking us to 215 active partnerships! We currently have 17 pastors awaiting a partner – please click here to partner with a pastor.

Pastors are usually supported by individuals and couples, but could also be considered by churches, connect groups and schools. Contact Anne to discuss your partnership options.

PASTOR TESTIMONIES

We have received some inspiring letters from our Pastors this month. Here is a testimony from Zambia, sharing what happened when a Witch doctor and Headman clashes with Christianity head on:

A man by the name of Mutambo Kabonde, says, “I am 87 years old. A resident and Vice Headman of Chipande village. I used to speak against the man of God, Rev Joel Bowa, and the work of God that he does in our village. I opposed my Senior Headman when he decided to allow him to come and do ministry in my village. I did not want his church to be established in my village.

However, on 10th May, 2023, I fell sick the night after I had warned Rev Bowa not to come and do ministry in my area, as I did not want him to come and disturb the spirits of our ancestors for fear of bringing a curse upon us as a community. I tried to take my usual traditional herbs for healing, but all was in vein. Some one encouraged me to allow Rev Bowa to come and pray for me.

Immediately after the prayer I got healed. He then preached Christ to me. I accepted him as my saviour and Lord of my life. Now I am free to go to church regularly and enjoy the fellowship of the brethren. I have pledged to support the work of God until I die as I have just a very short time to live on earth”.

REGIONAL LEADER UPDATE

Pastor Gary Deetlefs, Live Connection’s first Regional Leader, will be visiting Australia in October and will be available for a limited number of speaking engagements. Please contact Anne if you want Gary to visit your Church or speak at your Connect Group.

MISSION TRIP REPORT

Paul has just completed his third missionary journey this year – pictured above here with Mal, Andrew & Paulos, the Indonesian Regional Leader. They had a very successful trip and were warmly welcomed in Sumba with a traditional ceremony. We thank God for keeping them safe and for all the opportunities they had to share the gospel.

Project G O A T

Since this video was also posted on Facebook, we have already received $2,180 for the GOAT project. That will bless at least 12 of the Sumba Church planters and help them get out of poverty. Please let Anne know if you would like to do the same!
