WHY PARTNER WITH A UGANDAN PASTOR?
The Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. Approximately 20% of all Ugandan children are orphans who have lost one or both parents to the HIV/AIDS virus.
Uganda is home to many different ethnic groups with an overall population of 30.9 million. 85% of the population live in rural areas and more than two thirds of the country’s poor people are farmers. Uganda’s agricultural sector has great potential with favourable weather conditions and current political stability, but successive periods of political change in the last 30 years have affected rural people in particular.
