Live Connection connects Christians with pastors in rural Africa, Indonesia and the Philippines through monthly support, leadership training, prayer and encouragement.

In Romans 10:14-15, the apostle Paul asks, “How can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?” Partnership in spreading the message of Jesus is as old as the gospel itself.
For over 25 years, Live Connection has worked on the conviction that strengthening local pastors is the most direct and lasting way to bring both practical love and the gospel of Jesus to the people who need it most.
These pastors already know their communities, speak the language and share the culture. They simply need someone to stand behind them.

The story of Paul and Renee
Where it all began.
In 1988, at the age of 22, Paul Ravesteyn travelled throughout Central Africa as a builder with Mobile Mission Maintenance.
While working in Zambia and Malawi, Paul saw gifted men and women who were called by God to ministry, but who lacked the financial resources to send their children to school, buy medicine or, in some cases, provide food for their families.
He became convinced of the need to serve the vision of transforming communities by partnering with rural pastors. That conviction became a shared passion with his wife Renee, who grew up as the daughter of missionaries in rural Zambia.
Live Connection was founded in 2000 and now reaches pastors across Africa, the Philippines and Indonesia. Each pastor receives financial assistance and leadership training through regional leaders, and is encouraged not just to lead a church service, but to bring the love of God and the message of salvation found in Jesus Christ to their whole community.

From an initial visit through Central Africa to a growing network of practical support, the mission has remained local, relational and church centred.
